How to use an external microphone to do Voice Over in Final Cut Pro. If you want to use FinalCut X to do voice overs its pretty simple. You can also edit the wav file to enhance it right in the program. This is a simple way to get good voice over right in the FinalCut X editor so you don’t have to import external files.
Step 1: Got to System Settings and select Sound
Look for your brand of microphone (select it)
Then adjust master volume below.
Step 2: Next open Final cut and select (Window)
select Voice Recording
Check to see if you Microphone is there (Select it if needed)
Step 3: Begin Recording by hitting the Red Button.
